How poker tournament payouts work.
A tournament prize pool starts with the money contributed by every paid entry. If a venue charges an administration fee, subtract it before dividing the remaining pool among the finishing places. The calculator does this instantly and keeps every amount visible while you adjust the field, buy-in or fee.
Choose a payout plan that matches the size and style of your game. A flatter structure pays more players and reduces the jump between places. A top-heavy structure gives the winner a larger share. Before announcing payouts, check that custom percentages total 100% and that every displayed prize adds back to the net pool.
How is the poker prize pool calculated?
Multiply the number of entries by the buy-in, then subtract any administration fee. Poker Grid shows the gross entries, fee and net prize pool separately.
How many places should a poker tournament pay?
