Privacy policy.

This policy explains the personal information PokerGrid handles, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, location, authentication details supplied by our sign-in provider, saved regions, followed events or players, Poker Mate connections, venue preferences and information you add to private tournament tools. If you post on The Rail, we store your Tell or Stack Snap, its audience, reactions, tagged event details and any photo you choose to upload. Reports and blocks are also stored so we can operate the community safely. If you join through a PokerGrid Rewards link or code, we record the referring rewards partner and the signup and qualification times. If you submit a series for calendar review, we collect the event, venue and contact information entered in that form. We do not receive or store your plain-text password.

Public results may include a player’s name, country, event, placing and prize. These records usually come from organisers, official result publications or established public poker databases.

How we use information

We use personal information to provide accounts and saved preferences, secure private tools, publish and maintain results, deliver The Rail and Poker Mate updates, moderate community posts, operate PokerGrid Rewards, answer enquiries, correct records, monitor service reliability and prevent misuse. Rewards partners receive aggregate referral and qualification totals only. PokerGrid does not give them player names or email addresses through PokerGrid Rewards. We do not sell personal information.

The Rail, Stack Snaps and audience choices

A public Tell or Stack Snap can be viewed by anyone and may appear on the home page or your public player profile. A followers post is shown to signed-in people who follow your claimed player profile. A Poker Mates post is shown only to your accepted Poker Mates. Your private journal remains separate and is not published merely because you record a stack there. When you choose Facebook sharing, PokerGrid prepares a branded image on your device and opens the sharing tools available on that device; Facebook’s own privacy terms then apply.

You can delete your own Tell or Stack Snap from The Rail. Deletion removes the post from display and removes its stored photo, although limited records may remain where needed for safety, disputes or legal requirements.

Storage, providers and overseas processing

PokerGrid uses service providers for hosting, authentication, databases and email delivery. They process information only to provide those services and may operate infrastructure outside Australia. Account and private-tool records are protected by access controls; operator feed credentials are checked securely and are not published.

Browser storage

The site uses necessary browser storage and authentication tokens to keep you signed in, remember your selected region and reopen your private tournament-tool room. PokerGrid does not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

Retention and security

We keep information while it is needed for the service, a legitimate archive, dispute resolution or legal requirements. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold. For public poker results, use the dedicated data-correction process. Email privacy enquiries or complaints to rob@pokershop.com.au. We will acknowledge the request, verify identity where appropriate and respond within a reasonable period.

Changes

We may update this policy as PokerGrid’s services or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will remain published here.
